Mr. Warren Linden Funk

He had the great misfortune to lose an adult son to cancer and a toddler daughter during heart surgery. This left him with a lifelong soft spot in his heart for little girls and anyone requiring special care. He always worked hard, at a mink ranch in his teens and then various tire shops in Saskatoon and Lloydminster. That career ended when he was injured working as a tire boss at Costco when it first opened in Saskatoon. He retrained as a driver instructor and there found his niche. He loved it and was very good at it. He loved spending time at his cabin in Cochin and fishing brought him much joy. As increasing mobility issues made it necessary to sell the cabin, he retired and spent his time with his computer and beloved dogs. He spent his final year and a half being cared for at Lutheran Special Care Home. He passed away on August 5 after a series of strokes. His last day was contented and pain free; he went to sleep and did not wake up. At his request, there will be no service but please keep him in your thoughts. Rest well, Warren, you've earned it.
