William was born December 24, 1933 in Empress, Saskatchewan and grew up in Marengo, Saskatchewan with his larger-than-life family. While working for CNR he met the love of his life, Gail, and they married November 27, 1961 and settled in Alsask. They later moved to Young, Saskatchewan where he began working at the Colonsay Potash Mine. Finally, they moved to Allan in 1976 where he worked for the Allan Potash Mine until his retirement.
William enjoyed fishing, fixing anything and everything, and building all sorts of things. He enjoyed cooking and the holidays when all his family could be together. His jokes and sense of humour always filled the room with laughter.
William will be forever cherished as the best husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother, father-in-law, son-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend. He is survived by his devoted wife Gail of 62 and a half years, his loving sons Marcel and Willie (Bonnie), his loving daughter Teena, and his loving sister Dorthy Roberts. William will forever be remembered by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, his many nieces and nephews, extended family, and his dear friends.

A Fallen Limb
A limb has Fallen
from the family tree.
I keep hearing a voice that
says, “Grieve not for me”.
Remember the best times,
the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while
while I was strong.
Continue my heritage,
I’m counting on you.
Keep smiling and surely the sun
will shine through.
My mind is at ease, my soul is at rest.
Remembering all, how
I truly was blessed.
Continue traditions, no matter how
small. Go on with your life,
don’t worry about falls I miss you all dearly,
so keep up your chin.
Until the day comes we’re together again.
