With sadness, I learned of Anne's death last week,  just a few days after I received a reminder of Sparky's death a year earlier-rather a touching coincidence.  Anne was  my God-Mother, and she and Sparky long and dear friends of my parents, Polly and Mel.
Separated by time and distance, my wife Donna and I  visited only rarely, but it was always a joy to visit them, to see again her kindness and gentleness and warmth;  and to witness their ongoing and  many many years of love for each other.
She leaves a remarkable legacy for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren,-and their families-and will always be a beacon of light for them.
Stephanie and Christina, you  shared a wonderful memory of 
your grandmother, my God-Mother.   Even in sadness, may you always find joy in those memories.  Thank you.

Dear Judy and Janet,
I have such fond memories of Anne and her life time buddy Sparky and of course of the visits our two families would have.  Anne was such a gracious, loving, kind and gentle soul and will always be remembered as such.  I hear her voice so often reflecting many of the visits we were able to have, even in later years. I met Mrs. Scarfone at her daughter’s home several years ago.  I was impressed by her warm and kind presence and nature.  She had made these lovely cookies and treats for us to have.  I never forget how many different kinds she had made and how generous she was.  She will be truly missed.
