Beloved father of Melanie Muncaster, Matthew (Marney), Jennifer Muncaster, Joel (Sherri), and Perry (Patti). Cherished and proud grandpa of Tiffany, Josh (Shannon), Alanna (Mike), Mackenzie, Makayla, Tanner (Holly), Savannah (Davis), Kylee, Gavin, Emma, Nathan and Katie. Great grandpa of Oliver, Baileigh, Benjamin, Heidi, Theia, Jasper and Annie. Predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Irene and his sister Sandra Bayles (late Tom) and his brother Freddy (wife Wanda). Dear brother of Phillip and Debbie Kahtava (late Randy).
Bev lived a life marked by dedication to family and a passion for aviation. From an early age, he was passionate about airplanes. He began his career as a licensed mechanic and eventually fulfilled his dream of becoming a pilot - starting out as a bush pilot, primarily bringing supplies to remote outposts and First Nation communities. He then moved to work for the Ministry of Natural Resources, performing arial wildlife surveys, and fighting fires as an aerial water bomber. He also worked as a commercial pilot for NorOntair, flying passenger routes around Northern Ontario. Flying was a calling that brought him a ton of pride.
Life was an adventure for the Muncaster family, and his kids had a very exciting upbringing, flying in airplanes and helicopters and learning to ride motorcycles and snowmobiles at an early age. Bev was a real hands-on father, and believed his kids could do anything they put their minds to. He taught us how to be brave, to be confident, and be independent but also value each other. Not only was he a great dad, he was loved and admired by his grandkids, his daughter-in-laws and son-in-laws.
His laugh was infectious and he had a crazy sense of humour. He was a jokester and always had everyone laughing, whether he meant to or not. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met. To know him was to love him.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful and caring staff at the F. J. Davey Home for taking special care of our father.
