It is with deep sadness that we announce her peaceful passing on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her beloved husband, Doug; her children Brent (Maureen), and Jodi (David); her sister Mazie (late Dick); her grandchildren Sonya (Mike), Shelby, and Nathan; as well as her great-grandchildren Dexter, Jaxton and Everleigh, along with many family members and dear friends who loved her deeply.
Bonnie was predeceased by her beloved son, Ryan, as well as her parents, William and Dorothy White, and her brother William "Bud" White whom she held close to her heart and missed deeply.
She will be lovingly remembered by Larry(Pat), Joe (Jackie), John (Christine), Louise (Jody), the late Bruce (Mona).
Bonnie lived most of her life on St. Joseph Island and dedicated many years of her life to working at Community Living Algoma, where she cared for and supported individuals with special needs with compassion, patience, and kindness. The love she gave to others extended far beyond her family and left a lasting impact on so many lives. Bonnie was very social and enjoyed playing cards and dice; as well as golfing and baking. She was a member of RCL 374, in Richards Landing and was a member of Central Algoma School Board.
She will be remembered for her warmth, strength, caring heart, and especially for her infectious laugh that could light up a room and bring smiles to everyone around her. Bonnie loved fiercely and unconditionally and her presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew her.
She was loved beyond measure and will never be forgotten.
