

Brenda was a lifelong resident of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and is now reunited with her beloved husband Alan, with whom she shared 40 wonderful years. Loving mother of Steven of Sault Ste. Marie, David (Thi) of Bowmanville, and Christine (Graham) of London. Proud grandmother of Brandon and Tyler McEwen.
Daughter of the late Alice and William Pearse of Sault Ste. Marie, and daughter-in-law of the late Robert and Valda McEwen of Sault Ste. Marie. Dear sister of Jack Pearse (late Alice), Beverley Laidlaw (Archie), and the late Reg Pearse, all of Sault Ste. Marie; the late Frank Pearse (Alice) of Elginburg; and Bob Pearse of Toronto. Sister-in-law of the late Robert McEwen (Jackie), Roland McEwen (late Dorothy), the late Valda Baskcomb (late Art), and the late Philip McEwen (late Lorraine), all of Sault Ste. Marie.
Brenda will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, her deep love for family, and her lifelong dedication to helping others. She spent many years volunteering countless hours and showing dedication to her community, which was an important part of her life. Brenda had a deep appreciation for nature, cared about the environment, and shared a lifelong love of animals, especially those in need of care and comfort.
A dedicated employee of Algoma Steel, Brenda took great pride in her work and continued her career there right up until her passing. Her compassion, selflessness, and warmth touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
Family and friends are invited to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East; 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 1:00 pm with Rev.
