She is now reunited with her husband Steve Keenan. Beloved friend and long-time partner of the late Robert Shaver. Loving “bonus-mom” of Courtney Shaver (Jason Viens). Proud grandma of Caden, Sydney, Paige, and Mason. Cherished daughter of the late Edward and late Anne Hughes. Daughter-in-law of the late Vera and late Thomas Keenan. Dear sister-in-law of Maria Patten (late John), and Pauline Owen (Ronald). Carol will be missed and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and many very special friends.
Carol continuously put all of her love into every person she met, and her kindness will be remembered by all. To know her was to know a heart that loved without limits, and a soul whose first instinct was always to give.
At Carol’s request, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Sault Ste Marie Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
