Caryl was the beloved daughter of the late Jean and Rex King, granddaughter of the late Edith and Douglas Johnson and Eliza and Norman King. She was predeceased by her brother Marvyn King (Penny). She is survived by her sisters Freida Sherrington (Danny), Colleen Pearse (Lloyd), and Beth Grimard (Paul). She leaves behind her daughters, Nicole Belanger (Tim) and Alisa Belanger, and her cherished grandchildren, Emily and Nicolas Poitras, who will hold her memory close to their hearts. She will also be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
For many years, Caryl worked at Sears, where she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. She often spoke fondly of her years there, sharing stories of her work and the many people who became lifelong friends. Her family, her friends, and the memories she made throughout her life were never far from her thoughts or conversations.
Although Caryl faced many health challenges over the years, she found comfort and community at Great Northern Retirement Home. She was deeply grateful for the compassionate staff and the wonderful friends she made there. They became an extended family, filling her days with kindness, companionship, and care, and her family is sincerely thankful for the love they showed her.
Caryl will be remembered for her resilience, her appreciation for the people in her life, and the love she had for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
