YURECHUK, Celine Elizabeth - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Celine Elizabeth Yurechuk on Saturday, July 11, 2026, just days after her 97th birthday. She was surrounded by the love of her family.
Celine is reunited with her loving and devoted husband, Walter. Beloved mother of Valerie Plewes (James), Karen Maniacco (Bill), Mark Yurechuk and Laurie Vuotilainen (Jerry). Cherished grandma of Christopher (Lisa), Stephen and Jennifer (Daniel), Amy (Chris) and Rachel, Jacqueline (Michael) and David (Vlada), Erin and Logan. Loving great-grandma of Caleb, Ariella, Carter, Isla and Michael. She is now together with her parents, Maxime and Adele Lecomte, her siblings Jacqueline Gibson (Gerry), Therese Davidson (Don) and Robert Lecomte (Helen) and Walter's family; parents William and Rose Yurechuk and siblings Alice Malboeuf (Leonard), Nina Yurechuk and Arthur Yurechuk (Velma). She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Our mom had a kind and gracious spirit, with a warmth that drew people to her. She embodied grace, beauty and compassion. Her devotion to her family knew no bounds. Family and her faith were the center of her life. She was adored by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with whom she had a special bond. They brought her immense joy.
The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you and deep gratitude to Dr Sharp, the dedicated palliative team and the ER staff at the Sault Area Hospital. We are grateful for the kind and respectful care received from the nursing team at Bayshore and the PSW support from CBI. Their kindness helped to navigate a difficult time for our family.
Her warmth, love and quiet strength will be deeply missed by her family.
As per Celine's wishes, a private family service will be held.
Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation or A.R.C.H. would be greatly appreciated.
