Peacefully passed away at the Sault Area Hospital with his family by his side, on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 in his 80th year.
Beloved husband and best friend of Leona Kohvakko. Loving father of Craig Kohvakko (Melanie) and Cora-Lee Wilson (Maury). Proud grandpa of Kaylan Black (Ben), Carly Kohvakko (Ryan), Emma-Lee, Elam (Zoe) and Ella Wilson. Brother-in-law of the late Arnold MacKay (late Carol), Austin MacKay (Elaine). Special uncle to Ralph MacKay (late Dawn), and late Trevor MacKay, Michael MacKay (Cindy), Kevin MacKay, Linda Coe (Robbie) and Derek MacKay (Giselle). Best friend and cousin to Robert Shewfelt (Betty) and Peter Skytta (Hille). Predeceased by his parents Emil and Edith Kohvakko.
A Celebration of Life in Chuck's honour will be held on Monday October 12, 2026 at Willowgrove United Church, 55 Tilley Road. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of the service at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Glen Eagle officiating.
