Doris is now reunited with her dear husband, Robert "Bob" Fraser. Loving mother of Lynne Dyment (late Douglas), Susan Infanti (late Terrance), Cathie Rasmussen (Ken), Nancy Adams (Philip), David (Beverly), Mary McRae (Douglas), Dan (Lee) and Barbara Kent (John). Proud grandma of 27, great grandma of 81, and great-great grandma of 17.
Beloved daughter of the late Heber and Esther Elliott. Predeceased by her siblings, Ira Marr (George), Lee Tyios (John), Marjorie Elves (Ernie), and infant brother Arnold Elliott. Doris will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was born in Hamilton, Ontario and later moved with her husband and family North to St. Joseph Island. She had a passion for music, whether it was singing or directing music at the Church and home. Doris was a proud and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, farmwoman, saleswoman, librarian at the St. Joseph Township Library among many other things. She enjoyed volunteering and giving back to the community at Church, schools, food banks, Red Cross, Trefry Centre and so much more. Doris loved to keep busy with a variety of needle work and to play games of all kinds, especially Scrabble and jigsaw puzzles.
