Loving husband of Shelley (nee Finlayson) for 37 years. Devoted father of Erica-Jean (Darren). Proud grampa of Kelsea. Dear brother of Paula Petainen (Peter) and Michael. Uncle of Arianna and Matthew. Step-son of Lorraine Nenonen. Predeceased by his parents Vieno and Paul Nenonen and his in-laws Marion and Rod Finlayson. Nephew of Annie and Laurie Nenonen. Special friend of Bert and Brenda, Harry and Mary, Dan and Colleen, Chris and Margaret and longtime friend Chris Currie. Special uncle of Kaydee. Eric will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Eric was a long time employee of CN Rail. He will be remembered for his love of music, movies and history. Eric always enjoyed sitting around a campfire and a beautiful sunset.

Friends are invited to visit with family at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 2- 4 pm.
