Gait was born in Montreal, Quebec to the late Jacques and Fernande (nee Couteau) Beaudin. At the age of 18, Gait hopped on the bus from Montreal to Sault Ste. Marie to begin his career as a produce clerk and eventually manager with A&P/Metro, where he devoted 36 years of his life.
At Dad's request, cremation will take place immediately.
The family would like to thank the extended staff at Extendicare Van Daele Manor for their kindness and compassion shown to our dad. Nobody could have cared for him better.
