

CHARRON, Lionel “Gene” David (1936-2013) – With very heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of the best story teller ever! In the arms of his loving wife, Ruth Ann, at the place he loved the most. Dad passed away on Monday, August 12, 2013 at the Primeau Lake Inn at the age of 77. Left to mourn their great loss is his loving wife, Ruth Ann and their four children Shane (Peggy-Lee), Jack (Lois), Alyson and Heather and special son Scott Asselin (Elaine). His cherished grandchildren John (Marlene), Kerri (Clifford), Amy, Aaron Ross (Cary), David Carter (Adam), Brandon Hurley (Carrie), Melinda Lamming (Devin), Risto and Eero Tenhumaki, Emma and Kyle Paat, Sarah and Chris Asselin and great grandchildren Olivia, Morgan, Jessica, Ambar, Brianna, Brennan and Kohen and one great great granddaughter Maggie. Gene was the fourth of seven children born to Joseph and Edna Charron of Cloudslee. Brother of the late Ronald (Lavina), Leone Orr (Hugh), Marilyn Ross (late Ron), late Denton (Lois), Eleanor Black (late Jerry) and Lorraine Wood (Glen). Special father-in-law of Peter Paat, Raymond Hurley, Perry Carter and Perky Tenhumaki. Special brother-in-law of Gordie McCulloch (Marj) (late Mary Lynn). Dad worked for 37 years at the #7 Blast Furnace at Algoma Steel while farming in Leeburn. When he retired, he ran the Primeau Lake Inn and thoroughly enjoyed the people that visited. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from 1-5 pm and again on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 10-11:30 am. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12 pm. Mr. George Wright officiating. A celebration of life will follow at the Echo Bay Elks Hall. With dad’s love of children, memorial contributions to the Sicks Kids Foundation or the Make A Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
