Grant Robertson

to accept the things I cannot change,

courage to change the things I can

and the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time,

accepting hardship as the path to peace,

taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,

not as I would have it,

trusting that He will make all things right

if I surrender to His will,

that I may be reasonably happy in this life

and supremely happy

with Him

forever in the next.

The Lord is my Shepherd;

I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down

in green pastures;

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul;

He leadeth me in the paths of

righteousness for His name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the

valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me;

Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me;

Thou preparest a table before me in

the presence of mine enemies;

Thou anointest my head with oil,

my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall

follow me all the days of my life;

and I will dwell in the house of the

Lord forever.

When I must leave you

For a little while-

And shed wild tears

And hug your sorrow to you

But start out bravely

With a gallant smile;

ROBERTSON, Grant – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Grant Robertson in his 80th year on Friday, January 2, 2015. Survived by his devoted wife Terry. Loving father to Jim and Ronnie. Stepfather to Jason (Darlene) and Patrick (Patricia) King. Special Grandfather to Holly McNabb, Ashlyn, Jaylyn, Xander and Logan King. Predeceased by his Mother Dorothy Kunkel, Brother Clarence (late Ellen), and Sister Isobel. Brother to Gerald “Happy” (Betty), Larry (Carol), and Terry (Ada). Brother-in-law to Marilyn Dunn, late Janet Harder (late Paul), Joan Mathewson (Keith), and Sandra Bumbaco (Tony). Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Sadly missed by his special four legged companions Nikka and Misty. His memory will live on in the lives of those he touched, counseled and saved in his role as a drug and alcohol counselor. Memorial contributions to Club 14 or the Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
