Harold Michael Lesage

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Bud Lesage.

On July 22nd, Bud peacefully began his journey to the Spirit World in his 94th year, with his family by his side. He leaves behind his darling wife of 72 years, Doreen, who was the love of his life. Dear son of Mary and Percy Lesage and brother to Dorothy, Buster, Gloria, and Jackie. Beloved son-in-law of Dan and Loretta Pine, and brother-in-law to Doreen's eleven siblings.

He was a devoted father to Lucky, Scott (Bonna), Pam (Jack), Darcy (Maxine), and Robin. Papa was adored by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren , who he loved very much. He was also a special "Dad" and "Papa" to many others. He will also be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, and his extended Lesage and Pine family.

Bud spent his younger years working tirelessly in the logging camps with his dad. Following his dad's passing, he worked at Algoma Steel, where he made many friends and was known as a very hard worker. He built his own home and worked tirelessly to provide for his family so they could have everything they wanted. His grandchildren enjoyed all the times he took them for bush rides in the back of his truck, shared stories of his childhood, and his team of horses. He had a passion for learning history and reading. He enjoyed classic country music such as Waylon Jennings, watching old western movies, and doing his crossword and wordsearch puzzles.

If you were lucky enough to get to know him, you knew he was a quiet man who didn't say much, but when he did, his words were always thoughtful, kind and impactful. He gave the kind of advice anyone would be grateful to receive, and he loved singing his favourite country songs to Doreen, always bringing a smile to her face. He was an avid Bluejays fan and loved teasing Doreen when one of her favourite players wasn't playing up to par. It became one the family's cherished inside jokes.

Up until the time of his passing, he was healthy and strong and did everything for himself and others. He loved his breakfast club with the family, whether there were 2 people or a dozen, he would smile and chuckle and say "Look at this isn't this something!"

Bud's family was everything to him. He often said that no millionaire was a rich as him, because he had something that money couldn't buy. He was so thankful for his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and large extended family. The respect, hard work, laughter, and love they all share are a testament to the values he instilled. Bud was incredibly proud of the life he and Doreen worked together to build, and he will be forever cherished by his family.
