She was the beloved wife of the late Darwin for 55 years. Loving mother of Cathy and predeceased by her son Kenneth (Pam). Proud grandma of Emily (Kurtis) and Tyler (Emma), and great grandma of Maeve and Karson. Predeceased by her parents, Jack and Gladys Gordon (nee MacKay). Heather leaves behind her brother, Gilbert Gordon and many dear friends and family.
Heather was a kind hearted, all around wonderful woman who was an active member of her faith community at Emmanuel United Church. She had been involved with and was president (for many years) of the UCW and also served as a member of the board of the church. Heather worked full-time as a clerk at Highland Ford for over 30 years.
Heather enjoyed spending her time at camp on Bright Lake, was an avid reader and loved being with her family. She was the most proud of the family she created and is now reunited with her husband and son.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Extendicare Maple View for the care and compassion given to Heather during her few years there, as well as her husband, previously. We would also like to thank Dr. Shafiee and Dr. Barry of the Renal Program, and Dr. White for the care given to Heather.
