Heather will be missed and fondly remembered by her dear friend and long-time partner, Bruce Villella. She is now reunited with her parents Olive and Ed Lacey. Loving sister of Dawn Douglas (Larry). Cherished aunt of Rob Douglas (Shannon), and Stephen Douglas (Isobel). She will be lovingly remembered by her dear friends Sandra, Mary, and Monique; she held a special place in her heart for all of you. Heather will be missed by many other friends and neighbours. Beloved fur Mum to Emily and Darcey.
She was a devoted OPP officer for over 30 years and retired with the rank of Sergeant. Heather was a pioneer for many female officers in service. She dedicated her life to helping people and was able to do that through her work.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Lucy Ma, Dr. Tian Xiao, and Sue from Bayshore for their care and compassion. A very special thank you to Hatem Soltani for his support and friendship while traveling with Heather to and from Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
