

Reunited with his parents Marlene A. Neyland and Wilfred W. Neyland. Dear brother of Mary-Ann (Ted), Rellande "Chickie" (Roger), Peggy-Lynn, Wilfred James "Beb" (late Gina), and David. Special uncle of Patricia. Missed by his trusty cat companion Smokey. Jeff will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Jeff's nurse friends for all their care and compassion.
Jeff was raised in beautiful Batchawana Bay. He was a well known and a greatly loved member of the community. Jeff had a great love for the outdoors. He spent time as a guide and a commercial fisherman. He enjoyed and was well known for his skills making fishing nets. Humour was an important part of Jeff's life; he enjoyed making people laugh and seeing them smile. Family was everything to him. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Jeff loved music and his favourite was country and his favourite musician was Waylon Jennings. Jeff loved a good party and was always willing to help anyone. He loved a good adventure. Jeff friends called him the gentle giant.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 between 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. A graveside service at Batchawana Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Sault Ste Marie Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
