I am truly sorry and saddened to hear about Aunt Joan’s passing.  My heart and thoughts have been with you these past few days. 
Aunt Joan was a remarkable person, always kind and generous, and also a wonderful role model through her strength and lease on life.
Over the weekend I remembered how we used to look forward to visits as young girls, and enjoy many laughs, endless baking and very sweet tea, particularly through the holidays.  It was always allot of fun to be in Aunt Joan’s company.   
I hold many fond memories and will miss your mother along with you.

Joan was the best mother-in-law you could ever have.  She loved everyone who came into her home and treated them with respect and compassion.  She was a true treasure.  I will always remember our winter escapes to the Soo and know that she is looking down upon us with a smile.  Even through the years and the miles have kept us apart, I will never forget her warm laugh, her sweet smile and the cooking lessons!  My children, Lori and Andrew were her first grandchildren and she loved them openly and with great passion.  Joan, we will all miss you dearly.  Rest in Peace now that you are home.

Adopted into the Masse family at the age of 4, Grandma Joan was a light in every summer and Christmas memory of my childhood. Hours spent baking, sitting on the front step, drinking tea, watching Coronation Street, singing and attending church - she was the Grandmother every child would have loved. And I loved her very much. Grandma, you taught me to trust in God; to worship with all my heart; and to love those who are brought into our lives with a full heart. Thank you for taking a small girl into your family and loving her. Rest in peace, Grandma. I will see you in heaven where I can properly thank you for the influence you have had on my life.

 Growing up in the neighborhood I have fond memories of a women with a warm heart who had a wonderful cheerful disposition, a great love of her family whom she loved and cherished.
Joan will finally be reunited with her husband Leo.  RIP Joan.

The epitome of a caring, selfless human.  Giving everything, expecting nothing in return, thriving on the company of all members of the family, no matter who, and how far reaching.  A special soul.
