Jack was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had love for all animals especially his dog, Charlie. He loved gardening, fishing, camping, casino and playing pool with his buddies over a few cold beers. Family gatherings often ended in a friendly game of cards, laughter and storytelling. Jack especially cherished his time spent at Carpenter Lake, a place that held many of his happiest memories. His warmth, humour and generous spirit will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bowen and all the nurses and staff on 2A, 3A, 3B, 3C at the Sault Area Hospital for all they did to make Jack comfortable and the compassion they showed his family during this difficult time.
In keeping with Jack's wishes, a private family graveside service has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East, 705-759-2522). Memorial contributions (payable by cheque or online) to Sault Ste. Marie Community Pantry and Bartering Items Foundation would be appreciated. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the family.
