It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Kris at the age of 75. Proud father of Harlie (Jessie Brown) and Spencer (Jessica Ahde). Adored "Grandpa Kris" to Heidi Hartman and Anton Eppert. He will be missed by his sister Susan Champagne (Jerry Champagne). Predeceased by his parents Eileen and Charlie Hartman and his sister Valerie Halstead.
Kris will be fondly remembered for his love of life and of music. He was always available to his family should we need anything, and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. In his spare time, he loved to be outdoors in the sun.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of his friends that helped him in his later years, your kindness and compassion did not go unnoticed. A special thank you also to the paramedics and staff at the Sault Area Hospital.
As per Kris' request, a private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
