Lily McDermid

Lillian is now reunited with her husband, Bruce McDermid. Loving mother of Brenda Lees and cherished mother-in-law of Ken Lees. Proud Grandma of Heather Ray (Christian). Dear GG of Nolan, Callum and Devon Ray. Daughter of the late Emil and Alma Lepisto. Predeceased by her siblings, Lauri Lepisto, Aune Kunto, Eino Lepisto and Neilo Lepisto. Daughter-in-law of the late Norman and late Mary McDermid. Sister-in-law of the late Max McDermid (late Mina), and late Stella McGrath (late Gordon). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lily had a passion for curling and spent many hours at the rink with Bruce and their curling family. Some of her most precious moments were spent with friends at Cooper Lake, and visiting her family for the holidays in Barrie.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at both Sault Area Hospital and F.J. Davey Home for their care and compassion.

Family and friends may visit at Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East, 705-759-2522) on Thursday, August 6, 2026, between 9:30 am to 10:30 am. Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel at 11:00 am with Rev. John and Charlene Wilson officiating. Lily will be laid to rest with Bruce at Aberdeen Cemetery.
