NORMANDEAU, Lily Christine Jean - With broken hearts, we announce the sudden passing of our beautiful daughter, Lily Christine Jean Normandeau. Lily was only 7 years old when she sadly passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Lily was a tender-hearted and compassionate little girl who brought warmth and love wherever she went. She attended school at Boréal, where her gentle nature and bright spirit touched those around her. Lily had a deep love for art, singing in concerts, dressing up, and spending time with her sister Willow. She especially loved books and cherished bedtime reading with her mom, dad, and little sister.
Lily adored musicals, especially The Sound of Music, Wicked, and The Wizard of Oz. She had a big imagination and often took on the role of Elphaba, the witch who frees animals from cages. With her “magical powers,” she would freeze people in their tracks, always followed by giggles. Lily was mischievous and silly, and she loved to tickle, surprise, and make the people around her laugh.
She found joy in the simple, beautiful moments of life, like releasing butterflies, helping her mom in the garden, playing guitar with her dad, skating with her family, and spending time with her sister and friends. Lily was a devoted big sister who always looked out for Willow, making sure she felt safe, included, and loved.
Lily had a deep love for animals and wanted to make the world kinder for all sentient beings. As a vegan, she spoke up for animals and dreamed of having her own rescue pigs one day. She loved pigs dearly and believed every creature deserved care and protection. At home, she was also thoughtful and outspoken for animals and people alike, guided by a deep belief that everyone deserves love, safety, and care. Her compassion and understanding were wise beyond her years. Lily wanted all people to feel loved and safe.
She is lovingly remembered by her mom, Sarah Lalonde; dad, Jeff Normandeau; her sister, Willow Normandeau; her grandma Jean Lalonde; her Nanny Chris Normandeau; her Papa Roger Normandeau; Auntie Lisa Hayes (Lalonde) and Uncle Steve Hayes; and Auntie Michelle Normandeau and Uncle Colin Lafrance. She is also deeply missed by her cousins Ella Hayes and Alex Hayes. She was predeceased by her Grandpa Paul Lalonde.
Lily’s gentle spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew her.
