It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Lois in her 102nd year.
Daughter of the late Leota and Robert Armstrong. Devoted wife of the late Roy Paul Burton. Mother of Robert (late Sheila), Maureen Bukhari (Syed), Wendy Wardell (late Jim), Catherine Mahew (late Roger), Margaret Bowen (Rodney), Marion Hira (late Gordon) and Paulette Burton. Also very special seventh daughter and friend, Brenda Cormier (Rick). Grandmother of 18. Great-Grandmother of 37. Great-Great-Grandmother of 6. Predeceased by her siblings, Robert Armstrong (late Shirley/late Hazel), Eldon Armstrong (late Lauris), Dorothy Olar (late Alec), and Stanley (Joan). She will be especially missed by her favourite sister-in-law, Marguerite Gouchie (late Don).
Lois was a long time member of the Eastern Star and Northern Shrine.
As per Lois' request, there will be no formal funeral services at this time. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
