Mario Caposio

He is now reunited with his late wife, Angela. Loving father of Anna Michel (Norm). Proud Nonno of Sara Giles (Dan) and Anthea Michel (Rick). Great-grandfather of Evan, Wyatt and Weston.

Mario was born in San Severo, Italy to Ciro and Adalgisa Caposio. He brought his beautiful wife, Angela and his six year old daughter Anna to Sault Ste. Marie in 1966. He was a brick layer, a work that he loved. His family was his life. He thanked God daily for his blessings. You could often see him sitting in front of the home that he proudly built, reading the newspaper. Mario was very proud of his grandchildren and his little family. He is now reunited with his beloved wife and family that have passed before him.

Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church (211 Pentagon Blvd.) on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 11:00 am, followed by a reception in their parish hall. Memorial contributions made payable online or by cheque to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
