Dear Heather and family.  
My deepest sympathies to all of you. I went to elementary school with Markku  at S F Howe PS and then again at Lakeway Collegiate High School . Our family and his were part of a broader community of  tight knit families, all recent immigrants from Finland.  Much of our lives were interwoven with memories of sharing and caring and support. I remember Markku’s laughter and humour , and the kindness that he and his family extended to so many people in the community.  Wishing all of you  strength, but most of all peace  at this difficult time.

My sincere condolences.  I grew up in Steelton with Mark and we went to school together.  Although Mark was so much smarter than the rest of us (he truly was brilliant), he was a genuinely kind person and had a wonderful sense of humour.  I’m very sorry for your loss.
