

GJOS, Mary Irene “Nam” (nee Shackleton) – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Irene announces her passing at the age of 96 on Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at the Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family.
Beloved wife of the late Richard. Mother of Gary (Marie), Guy (Marlene), Conrad (Myrna), Dawn (Gabe), Karen Haldenby (Harvey), Beth West (late Stan) and Paula Milroy (Murray). Sister of Jean Barber, Margaret Barr (late Warden), Allan (Joan) and predeceased by James (Eva), Ernest, Anna Beilhartz (late Hugh), Cora Connell (late Lorne), Elsie Clark (late Reg) and Ruth Shaule (late Bill). Survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Special friend of Isabel Rydall, Kelly and Marlee Hopkins.
Nam’s beautiful smile and friendly ways that touched the hearts of so many, will be sadly missed. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Monday, September 30, 2013 from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm. A celebration of Nam’s life will be held in the chapel at 13:00 pm. Rev. Betty Pretty officiating. Cremation with interment Desbarats Cemetery.
