Roseanne Brown

It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Roseanne Brown on Friday, October 23, 2026, at the age of 80 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Proud and loving mother of Raeanne L. Van Daele (Steven). Roseanne is predeceased by her parents, Nikola and Anna (nee Miskiw) Buconjic. She is the beloved sister of the late Eleanore Morrison, Bernadette Heard (late Frank), late Fred D'Aoust (Josephine), Carole Marinovich (late John), Nick Buconjic (Joan), Janet Dool, late Robert Buconjic and Debbie Davey (Brian). Roseanne also known as Aunty Ruzia will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Having grown up in a large, close-knit family, mom thoroughly enjoyed spending time with loved ones, whether it be playing cards with her sisters, going out for dinner, attending family gatherings or just relaxing with us. Mom was very artistic and enjoyed numerous types of arts and crafts such as painting, sewing, Ukrainian embroidery, Ukrainian egg decorating (pysanky), stained glass and making holiday centerpieces. We will always treasure the beautiful gifts she has given to us.

In her younger years mom took great pleasure in gardening. She eagerly waited for spring so she could tend to her beautiful flower beds.

Steven and I are blessed to have a mother who loved us unconditionally, supported us and showed the importance of family, faith, honesty, fairness and being true to your word.

We would like to express our gratitude to the following doctors for their expertise and compassion; Dr. Ben Moreau (SAH), Dr. Lacey Pitre (Oncologist HSN) and Dr. Allison Ball (Oncologist RVH). Mom truly appreciated the care shown to her and she always said, "I had the best of the best!".

In keeping with mom's wishes, there will be no public service. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Memorial contributions (made payable by cheque or online) to Tracy's Dream or the Cancer Research Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
