It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of Shirley at the age of 91. She will be reunited with her husband Gerry. Loving mother of Kim Bird (Suz-anne). Step-mother to Erin Webb (late Walter) and Ron Bird (Wendy). Grandmother to many who will miss her dearly.
Shirley always had a fondness for music, and was a beautiful piano player. She was also an avid reader.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the 3rd Floor Staff at the F. J. Davey Home for their extraordinaire care and compassion.
As per Shirley's request a private graveside service has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522). In lieu of flowers memorial donations (made payable by cheque or online) to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
