After a lengthy courageous battle of ongoing illness it is with
profound sadness, the family of Wendy Elaine Michaud announces her peaceful passing in the early hours of Friday, November 21, 2025 at the Sault Area Hospital, surrounded by loved ones in her 72nd year. Wendy is fondly remembered for her steadfast strength, compassion, and generosity. She leaves behind a legacy of love, enduring friendships, and treasured memories.
Wendy is now reunited with her beloved parents, Lillian and Teddy Davieaux. She is deeply missed by her loving son, Rob Michaud (Jess), and her cherished sisters, Janice Perkins of Florida, Frances Pickard (Yves) of Quebec and late Carol Tarchuck. She was predeceased by Danny Jackson and Billy Michaud, and leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and treasured friends whose lives she touched with her warmth and kindness.
Wendy lived life to the fullest, embracing every moment as an independent and resilient woman. Known for her willingness to help, whether moving a couch, stacking firewood, or splitting kindling, she embodied resourcefulness and generosity. Her passion for carpentry and pride in her trade were evident in the countless projects she tackled, always with dedication and skill.
A lover of home renovation, Wendy delighted in transforming her living spaces, constantly painting and redecorating to reflect each new chapter of her life. Christmas at Wendy’s was unforgettable: her festive decorations were always impeccable. Her competitive spirit shone during lively games of washer toss, where her triumphs are legendary and her trophy at Whispering Pines will continue to honour her name.
Wendy cherished time spent entertaining in her garage, playing pool, and camping in the great outdoors, especially at Ranger Lake and on Whispering Pines at the Red Roof Inn. She later settled at Harmony Beach, finding peace and beauty in her surroundings.
According to Wendy’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will be held in early spring, filled with love, laughter, and games of washer toss and pool, just as she would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Charity of your Choice (payable online of by cheque), honoring Wendy’s courageous battle and commitment to supporting others.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and doctors of Sault Area Hospital for their compassion and care, ensuring Wendy’s final hours were comfortable and pain-free.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton and Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East, 705-759-2522). Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.arthurfuneralhome.com for the Michaud family.
Wendy’s memory will be cherished always; gone but never forgotten, loved forever.
