1934-2026
Has left for his next journey in his 92nd year.
Leaving behind to carry on his legacy, is his loving wife of 65 years, Jackie. Left to share his memories with joy and smiles are his children and their families. Nancy and Randy Dewling, Taylor, Kyle and Clara Nisbet and Josh, Megan and Drew. Bill and Shelley Taylor, Ben, Tram and soon to arrive great grandson, Jesse, Monica and Jake. Also left to celebrate his life are his brother and wife, Al "Dave" and Rhonda, plus numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He lived a full life of work, play and volunteering. He worked for Bell Canada for 40 years. Bill loved hunting, fishing and camping. He was a member of Sault Search & Rescue for 60+ years and Mr Bon Soo for quite a few years. He loved going to schools with his dogs Red or Maggie to teach "The Hug a Tree Program". He was also an instructor of the North American Search Dog Network.
Back in the day he also volunteered with the Soo Pee Wee Arena as a coach and league director.
The family would love to thank the incredible nurses and PSWs of 3B where he spent his last month. Also the hospitalists and specialists that tried to make him comfortable. They all called him Red which he loved because he was a nickname kind of guy.
