

She was born in Oliver, Ga, and had lived in Savannah since 1952.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Roy McCormick, and sisters, Eunice Cavanah, Cynthia Horne and Gladys Roach, a brother, Theodore Hurst.
She was a Registered Nurse, and she was a member of the Class of 1940, Grady Hospital School of Nursing, and she was the first Georgia Heart Association Nurse in the State of Georgia, working with Dr. Fenwick Nichols and Dr. Carolyn Williams.
She served 51 years as a Registered Nurse and she was retired from Memorial Medical Center. In 1990 she received the 1st Frist -Humanitarian Award from Memorial Medical Center.
She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, the Loyal Workers Sunday School Class, the Silver Nuggets, and the Joy Choir.
She is survived by two sons, Roland R. McCormick, Jr., (Irene) of Savannah, Ga; and Richard E. McCormick (Donna) of Rincon, Ga; a daughter, Jacqueline McCormick King (Trey) of Savannah,Ga; sister, Runelle Steadman of Dalton, Ga; 5 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
Visitation: 2 – 5 p.m. Sunday at Fairhaven Funeral Home – Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 10 a.m. Monday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. Larry Williams and Rev. Jim Cavanah, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Good Shepherd Section of Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
