Roy Ervin Bry

He is preceded in death by his parents (Esther Hegre Bry and Ole Bry), brothers (Allen, Otis), sister (Mildred), and granddaughter (Emily Rose).

Roy was a beloved husband to Emily M. Bry, father to Florence B. Tapley, and grandfather to Matthew B. Tapley. He is also survived by a brother (Raymond) and sisters (Adeline and Diana), and countless nieces and nephews.

Roy served in the U.S. Army and retired from the Department of Agriculture as an entomologist and interim director. He was a member of the American Legion, NRA, and Men in Mission. Roy was a lifelong Lutheran and member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He was an avid gardener, reader, and rescuer of lost animals. His presence on this earth will be missed.

Visitation with the family will be at 10:00 am prior to the service at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at the corner of Bull and 31st Street on Monday July 18, 2011.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday July 18, 2011.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Humane Society of America in his memory.
