The two began courting and were married in 1951 at Blessed Sacrament Church. Frank graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto in 1951. This year would mark the 70th year since his graduation. He completed his internship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences shortly after. During his Residency, he had the opportunity to travel to many countries which he often spoke highly of. He spent a year training in Holland followed by a year at Bellevue Hospital in New York City. He was so proud of learning to speak Dutch and French later in life and sought out anyone to practice his language skills on. He began his career at Shouldice Hospital in 1956. He was a brilliant surgeon and took pride in his profession. He completed over 23,000 successful hernia repairs before fully retiring in 1990. A devout Catholic, Frank was deeply involved with Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church and it's community. In addition to being a Eucharistic Minister, he would often partake in social functions and fundraising events for causes such as the Serra Club of Toronto and Right to Life Canada. In addition to Florida and the the cottage, Frank's pride and joy was his garden. He would spend countless hours every year making sure everything was perfect. He always loved a good party and will be remembered by his neighbours for his annual backyard gatherings. This was truly his happy place. Frank also loved a good game of golf. As spring approached each year, you could see his eagerness to get out onto the golf course. He was an avid pianist and loved to entertain people with a good tune. He and his wife Rita loved Ballroom Dancing and took part in many competitions over the years. It wouldn't be uncommon for him to get up and start dancing in his home when he enjoyed a good song.
