Carmela Caruso

17 November, 19397 January, 2021

It is with the heaviest of hearts and deepest sorrow that our family shares with you the passing of our beloved mother, Carmela Caruso, who passed away January 7, 2021. Our mom was an amazing human being. She will be remembered as a daughter, devoted wife to our late father, Giovanni, loving mother to Giuseppina (Pasquale), Maria (Lance), and Linda (Mario). Proud Nonna (grandmother) to Evan, Lucas, Sabrina (Michel), and Samson whom she loved unconditionally. Family meant the world to her. She devoted her life to serving God and shared her passion for the Church with her community and the world. On this sad day, we celebrate her life’s journey, a journey filled with many obstacles that became her blessings through God. Her struggles strengthened her spirit and molded her into the woman we so loved and admired so much. Donating the greatest gift of all, her time, she helped anyone in need. She was generous and unselfish. She taught us the importance of being of service to others. She was the essence of kindness, and her life was a living example of this virtue. As we move forward in the physical world, we know that our mom’s spirit will live on in each of us who knew her and in everything we do and will strive to keep her legacy alive. If we all strive to be more giving like our mom, the world will be a much better place. Our loving mom, we will miss you and will always honour you and happy you are in Gods hands. “And He will raise you up on eagle's wings, Bear you on the breath of dawn, Make you shine like the sun, And hold you in the palm of His Hand.”

In Carmela's memory, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
