Eleanor Menzies

Theresa "Eleanor" Menzies (nee Sweeney): Sunrise March 4th, 1927 - Sunset September 13th, 2025. A loving Mother to Carol Hutton, Mother-in-law to Gord. A wonderful Grandmother to Nat, Gemma and Sabrina Bordonaro. Gone to be with her husband Donald and her daughter Nancy Menzies Bordonaro. El and Don were married for 50 years before he passed away in 2000. Eleanor had a close loving connection with Nancy before she passed away in 2023, at age 59. El loved her job at EYCI as a secretary in the library, retiring in 1988. She loved golf, and was a member of the Toronto Ladies Golf Club for many years. She was proud of having had two holes in one! She gave up golf at age 89. Eleanor passed away peacefully in the Providence Healthcare Palliative Care Unit in her 99th year. Many heartfelt thanks to the staff for their care of Eleanor.

A memorial visitation for Eleanor will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E, Scarborough, ON M1R2Y8. A memorial service will occur at 2:00 PM. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
