Remembering the good times with John at our annual sing-a-long  St. Patrick Day party in Florida.  John would normally wear an orange shirt to support the Protestant Irish just to upset the green Catholics.

We were very sorry to hear from Robin that John passed away September 22.

We were John's,  and the whole gang at Aqua Sport in Montréal, diving buddies in the seventies.  We have great memories of the good dives we had together.

Thinking of you all—Fay, Colin and Sarah, and all the McAulay siblings. While we didn’t get together a lot as an extended McAulay family,  I remember John as so interesting, and worldly, and a family man. I am so sorry for your loss.

great friend from our days in Montreal,and Diving, and mo.re.. Remember business meetings on John,s balcony myself and John and a 24 of molsons, 
took filmaking courses together at university in Montreal.shared an apartment in Mississauga,took off on random trips to Florida and more …learned life lessons together..do you know if you grill steaks in an oven and  do not use a tray

We are really sad to hear of John’s passing.  Our condolences and prayers to Fay and your family.  I will cherish my talks with John at our annual Robbie Burns dinners over the years. We share a passion for the game and it was so much fun taking golf with him!  His love of the Royal Asburn course was evident every time we spoke! RIP John

I heard about John's passing yesterday afternoon while I was at Royal Ashburn. The Golf Historical Society had gathered for an afternoon of hickory golf. That was where I first met John a number of years ago. I was at the first tee getting ready to play and wondered who this entertaining, captivating, funny and engaging character was. I was also fortunate to be in his 4-some that day and was lucky enough to get to know John over the next 4 1/2 hours. 
It was always great to see him there, either on the course or in the Clubhouse 'holding court', and he always had a smile, a handshake and time to sit and get caught up over a beverage.  Rest in peace John. To your family, please accept my condolences and know that despite these difficult circumstances, John's memory will for ever bring a smile.
