Lucie Laprade

It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Lucie, at her home on July 31, 2024 at the age of 90.

Loving wife of Arthur, and mother of Alain (Deirdre), André, and René (Sandra). Grandmaman to Marc (Laurissa), Nicholas, Mathieu, Patrick, Genevieve & Ryan, and Arrière-Grandmaman to Jakub.

Special thanks to the staff at Don Mills, Silver Sherpa, the doctors at Sunnybrook Hospital’s ALS Clinic, the doctors and staff at the Temmy Latner Palliative Care Centre, and all the Personal Service Workers for their compassionate care of Lucie over the past several months.

Visitation at PAUL O’CONNOR FUNERAL HOME, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. (between Warden and Pharmacy), Scarborough, on Friday, August 9, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Funeral Mass on Saturday, August 10 at 2 p.m., at PAROISSE ST-LOUIS-DE-FRANCE, 1415 Don Mills Road, North York.

In lieu of flowers, donations to ALS Society of Canada, or the Temmy Latner Palliative Care Centre would be appreciated by the family.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de notre mère Lucie, à sa résidence, le 31 juillet 2024 à l'âge de 90 ans.

Épouse aimante d'Arthur, et mère d'Alain (Deirdre), André, et René (Sandra). Grand-maman de Marc (Laurissa), Nicholas, Mathieu, Patrick, Geneviève & Ryan, et arrière-grand-maman de Jakub.

Un merci spécial au personnel de Don Mills, Silver Sherpa, aux médecins de la clinique ALS de l'hôpital Sunnybrook, aux médecins et au personnel du centre de soins palliatifs Temmy Latner, ainsi que tout les préposés, pour leurs soins compatissants envers Lucie au cours des derniers mois.

Les visites auront lieu à la MAISON FUNÉRAIRE PAUL O’CONNOR, 1939 avenue Lawrence E. (entre Warden et Pharmacy) le vendredi 9 août de 15h à 17h et de 19h à 21h.

La messe funéraire aura lieu le samedi 10 août à 14h, à la PAROISSE ST-LOUIS-DE-FRANCE, 1415 chemin Don Mills, North York.

Au lieu de fleurs, des dons à la Société de la SLA du Canada ou au centre de soins palliatifs Temmy Latner seraient appréciés par la famille.
