Known for her bright smile, even in the harshest of times. She was adored by those around her. When she walked into a room people were instantly drawn in. Nancy was a natural conversationalist, one who could make anyone she talked to feel comfortable. There are many people who counted Nancy as one of their closest friends.
Nancy was a teacher for the majority of her career. She could take any class given to her and turn them into a loving community. Many students she taught would find her years later and tell her she impacted their lives. She mentored many young teachers during their practicums and held leadership positions at her school Thorncliffe Park Elementary School.
Nancy's life long love of musical theatre started at a young age. She was constantly performing. She was known for her beautiful singing voice, skills with the guitar and her ability to bring life to any role. When not performing she adored heading downtown to catch the latest releases.
Nancy loved the outdoors, especially Northern Ontario. Her most precious times were with her children while walking in parks, in the city's valleys and on the shores of lakes. The four of them would vacation up north every summer. Nancy loved to kayak, swim and explore nature trails.
Nancy is survived by her three children: Rose, Gemma (Nik Cvetkovic) and Sabrina Bordonaro. She is also survived by her mother, Eleanor Menzies, her sister Carol Hutton (Gord Hutton) and countless others who carry her in their hearts.
