I will never forget Nevin's laugh and the fun we had together at Sears.  He was a true joy to be around.    The world is poorer for his passing.     I like everyone he ever met considered myself his friend and just thinking of him lights up my life.

Nevin was everyone’s best friend in Junior/Senior High and he was indeed,  as ,everyone is saying,  the life of the party, if not every happy occasion. He was the kindest boy in school  and everyone loved him, including me. Rest in peace you wonderful soul.  The Heavens will be so  delighted to party with you.

I have many, many fond memories of Nevin, from events at school to parties and trips with friends.  One of the funniest moments was when Bill Nugent, the best man at his wedding, pretended to forget Nevin's name and called him "Kevin" all through his speech.
Always a smile, never short of jokes, and always trying to please.

Nevin was a wonderful addition to the Dunleavy family when he joined as our “in-law” more than 42 years ago.  His generosity, warmth and understanding were a constant source of support during the hard times, especially when our parents had health issues.  At family gatherings, his humour and positivity ensured that everyone felt included and served to bring all of the generations together. The example he set as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, in-law and friend is a guide for all of us to try to follow and will be his on-going legacy.  He lived his life the right way and he will be greatly missed.

My sincere condolences to Maureen and family.   I remember Nevin for his wit and boundless humour.  His energy and professional attitude made him a  valued  Sears co-worker.  God bless his memory.

I have many fond memories of working with Nevin  at Sears HQ in the '80's.  He always made me laugh with his humour.    Most sincere sympathies to the family.

I cherish the day Nevin, Ken Urbach and Norie Taylor put on a surprise birthday lunch for me in the MCO boardroom. Nevin and Ken wore tuxedos and served us lunch formal style. It is a special memory I will have to remember Nevin forever.

I knew Nevin from our Sears days. He was a terrific guy, with a rapier with that kept most of us lucky enough to work with him in stitches much of the time, while always remaining professional.   Outside of Sears, he was a mainstay at our annual Turkey Bash parties through  the years, even stepping in as a hilarious emcee when needed.  I will always remember him fondly.

Nevin was the best brother-in-law anyone could ask for but more than that he was a great friend.  Nevin had a personality that was bigger then life.  He had a special gift of making people who first met him feel accepted and special.  Nevin's passing has left a huge hole in our family.  We are all better people for having known and loved him.  His spirit and kindness will continue to live in all of us. I look forward to the day we can play golf together at the Hunt Club in heaven.

I first met Nevin when Sears transferred me to Toronto in the mid 80's.  He was great fun to be with and was always dedicated and professional in his work. He will be sadly missed by many. My deepest sympathies to Maureen and all the family. Rest in Peace.

 Life of the party indeed ! ..... I worked with Nevin at Sears years ago and he always made me laugh. No wonder that he is fondly remembered by his family as the “best” in all regards. My sincere sympathies to you all.

I loved my grandpa so much. I will always miss him. When I start to get sad I think of all the fun memories we had together, like him getting stuck on the slide when I was little or when we made lime jello once a week when I was little. I will remember him and love him forever. XOXOXO.

Very sad, my condolences to Nevin's family and friends.  I have many fond memories of him at Sears.  One of the "good guys"😪

I remember Nevin and his family renting my grandmother's cottage in Wasaga Beach on Shore Lane. Nevin was a kind man who loved his family dearly. And I remember Nevin and the other guys going to Tom Sellers cottage in the winter time with Jim for an all boys weekend and we know what was happening there. He will be missed by the Cranswick's although there are not to many left as all the senior ones have passed on. Our sincere condolences to Maureen and the family as I know they will miss Nevin dearly.


I was saddened to hear the passing of such a fun loving co-worker at the Hunt Club for the past 10 years. Everytime I saw Nevin  he would bring a smile  to my face. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

Nevin was a beloved  part of the Toronto Hunt community and will be missed by fellow staff and Club members alike.  Always friendly, outgoing and a joy to be around, Nevin made each day feel special.  He treated everyone with respect and was quick to offer a funny joke or amusing story.
