Pierre David Pilotte

December 20, 1962- June 12, 2026

The lights lit up early on that cold Christmas morning in 1962, when the door opened and entered our last family member. We three were overjoyed to have received the best present ever! Pierre was the best gift Santa Claus had ever brought! Several years later in Laval, he returned the favour by appearing as Santa in front of nieces and nephews for gift distribution.

Pierre studied mathematics at York University and obtained BBA degree. He worked at American Express until he left to start his own business: Pierre’s Repairs. There, he used his artistic flair to fix, paint and decorate all types of home settings. Throughout his life, Pierre displayed a great sense of creativity when working on interior spaces.

Along the way, he made friends, many of whom were artists and professionals, enjoying an active social life. Later, health concerns limited his gregariousness and employability, leading to his final demise.

He leaves in memory one brother: Matthieu, a sister, Christine, sister-in-law Cathy, brother- in-law Edward, nephews Jérémy, Stefan, and nieces Sarah and Rebecca. We wish him well in the life beyond.

Ce fut un matin du 25 décembre que nous a été donné le plus beau de tous les cadeaux de Noël. Pierre, qui est né le 20, est arrivé chez nous. Joyeux comme nous l’étions, à quelque part il a dû s’en souvenir. Or, quelques années plus tard, il se déguisa en Père Noël à la distribution de cadeaux à ces nièces et neveux.

Terminé son cours universitaire, à l’âge adulte il s’est dirigé vers l’informatique. Quelques années plus tard, il partit sa propre entreprise : Pierre’s Repairs. « Patenteux », comme on dit en langage courant, cet exercice fut pour lui un débouché pour sa débrouillardise, sa créativité et son adresse. En chemin, il se faisait un cercle d’amis composés en grande partie de professionnels et artistes. Au cours des années, des difficultés au niveau de la santé ont diminué peu à peu ses activités.

Il laisse dans le deuil sa sœur Christine, son frère Matthieu, sa belle-sœur Cathy, beau-frère Edward, ses nièces Sarah et Rebecca, et ses neveux Stefan et Jérémy. Dons au centre canadien voué à la dépendance et la maladie mentale https://www.camh.ca/
