It is with great sadness that the family of Rocchina Ciccarelli (nee Morra), age 89, announce her peaceful passing on the morning of Friday October 8, 2021, at Houses of Providence. Rocchina was born on March 5, 1932, in Monteleone Di Puglia, Italy and immigrated to Toronto in 1955 where she resided until her passing. She was a beloved wife of the late Rocco Ciccarelli, a loving mother of Carmela (Patrick), Lorraine (David) and the late Antonio (Maria). A Cherished Nonna of Elizabeth (Glenford), Julianna, James and Cameron and to the sparkle of her eyes, great grandson, Augusto. She is the dear daughter of the late Cirico Morra and Raffaela Liscio. A loving sister of the late Padre Michele Morra, the late Grazia (Paulo) and the late Antonio. An everlasting bond of friendship is held with sister-in-laws Nuccia and Gina and a cherished sister-in-law of the late Giuseppe and Attilio of Canada and the late Ciriaco, (Giuseppina) and Angelo (Rosenella) of Italy. She is remembered by many loved nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and Argentina. A very special thank you to Fe Alarcon, her caregiver for over 15 years. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Doctors and staff at Cardinal Ambrozic Houses of Providence for their love and dedication to the care of Rocchina and ask that any donations be made to the Houses of Providence. The visitation is to be held at Paul O’Connor Funeral Home on Tuesday October 12, 2021, from 2pm-4pm, and 6pm-8pm. The Funeral Mass is to be held at St. Rose of Lima church at 3216 Lawrence Avenue East on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 11am. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Mausoleum, 4570 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON M2N 5L6.
Due to the COVID guidelines guests are still required to follow the mandate of two metres (six feet) physical distancing. For the visitation 50 people will be permitted in the room at a time. Guests may be required to wait in line prior to entering the funeral home. Upon entry to the funeral home guests will be required to provide their contact information for the purpose of contact tracing. Proof of vaccination is not required at this time. Masks or face coverings are required indoors.
