My favourite memories with Larry were my childhood, living down the street from my cousins. Having family so close was a blessing I didn't understand until I lost it when they moved.

We seldom understand what we have until we lose it, a sentiment I'm sure many are feeling with the loss of Larry in their lives.

We can find solace in knowing that he lives on in spirit with his children and grandchildren.  Seeing their strength of character reflects the strength of our forebearers, crossing an ocean to build a better life.

I'm sure Larry is proud of his family, and will always be proud as they continue to greater successes.

Larry, you are a dear and good friend.  We can no longer see you,  laugh with you, talk with you,  but you'll always be remembered.

Remembering Larry...
     It was unplanned, but my arrival in Montreal in 1977 was timed perfectly. You and Ting were getting married! With much excitement, Ting added me to your entourage. It was a memorable day.
     We didn't have much communication after that.  But years later, after Jett's tragic accident, Ting told me about an unusual request you had for me. You wanted me to share all the letters Jett had written to me. You had a difficult time coping with his death, and wanted any reminder of him. And though your request was extremely personal, I saw how much you loved him. Thank you, Larry, for making me a part of your healing process.
     Rest in peace. 💟

Goodbyes are so sad when it is final. So let me use a line from Shakespeare’s Hamlet, “ Good night sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!” Larry, you have been a constant dear friend since you married my BFF. No more checking your blood sugar, and the dreaded trips to dialysis. Rest well Larry. You will be missed by everyone who have known you.

A man once I loved, the father of my 3 beautiful children became a very good friend until the very end.

Ours may not be traditional so to speak, but we were there for each other. I ensured you were good, well taken cared of and looked after.

Rest now and rest well. You have given me 3 wonderful children and for that I am forever grateful.

Uncle Larry is a jolly and very cool person. When we talk on the phone  he had  many stories, memories,  his schooling, visits relatives in provinces in the Philippines.  Uncle Larry I will not forget your advices, concern and life's lessons you taught me. He was one  who console, teaches me on how to move on and accept the loss of my dearest mother his first cousin. He makes me laugh and makes  story just to recover, which he told me that he encountered also  by unexpected death of his loving brother and mother which for a long time he mourned.  Rest in peace Uncle. You are forever love and never forgotten.

I used to work with Larry back in Montreal at RBC QPC Processing Centre.  I was Computer Operator back then and knowing he's a Filipino like me I felt comfortable working in the area where he was a Printer Supervisor then later became Tape Librarian.  I moved to Toronto in 1995 and later saw him at 325 Front St. working for Symcor just next door to RBC building at 315 Front St.   Larry will be missed as a good friend...God bless his soul.

Very saddened to learn of Larry’s passing.  Laura and I send our condolences to the family.
Larry and I worked at the Bank of Montreal data processing centre in Place Bonaventure during the late 70’s.  I can still see him sitting at the corner of his desk working or hearing his laughter.  I fondly remember Larry as a good and wonderful person.  Unfortunately, we lost touch throughout the years. I looked for him in recent times and didn’t realize we were both in the east end of Toronto.  Rest in peace, Larry.

Our deepest condolence to the Mallari family .Larry will be missed and may he Rest In Peace.The years of friendship will be cherished.  Rest assured Larry I’ll take good care of my BFF Ting .. memories from Montreal  and Toronto .. the Dalisay family ., Marjorie and Eddie Dalisay 

My brother Larry was a happy and very generous person. When we talked, his comments would make me laugh non-stop. 

He was so generous that he would take off his shirt to give to someone in need.

I will miss you terribly Larry, and will always love you the way you were.

May our Mother Mary take care of you, whom you loved so much and who always answered your prayers. 

May God welcome you with loving and open arms into his kingdom, and grant you eternal rest.

Larry and I worked at Royal Bank Computer Centre (QCC) for many years together. We developed a very close friendship. Shared jokes and interesting conversations. Myself and family was invited to his daughter's (debut), to me that was a touching and cherished. He moved to Toronto and we still kept in contact via our work connection. When  I moved here we once again re-established connection. Though we did not chat everyday I would call to check up on him and reminisce. You will be missed my friend.  God speed,,,

It is with heavy heart and extreme sadness that we join the Mallari family in the passing of our dear friend, Larry Mallari.  The Mallari and Marcelino families have been close friends since our days in Muntinlupa NBP before both families immigrated to Canada (the Marcelino's in Toronto & the Mallari's originally in Montreal.)  We have maintained our close friendship during all these years and Larry had always remained our good friend, esp with my brothers.  I remember him being a very funny, happy guy even during our childhood and in recent times, he always shared funny jokes and greetings thru Fb and Messenger.  We'll miss you Larry, Rest in Peace and give our love to Daddy, Mommy, Jett and Malen.

Rest In Peace Larry.  May our good Lord welcome you in His heavenly
kingdom and join all your love ones in heaven.  Our condolences to the family.  May your memories be a blessing.

Rest in peaceful sleep in Mama Mary's loving arms, who was your Refuge, dear brother.  Larry enjoyed life to the fullest from the very beginning until he was sadly beset with health issues over the past several years.  He started as a young Boy Scout, attended the first International Boy Scout Jamboree in Manila; went on to Don Bosco Elementary School then to San Sebastian College, got his B.S. in Commerce,  where he gained and made many good friends (his barkada).  Came to Canada in 1973 to join us his older sisters.  In his first few months in Montreal, he was "boasting" to his friends back home that it's great he had his own room with a TV, etc. but the  "truth" was we three were in a one-bedroom apartment at that time and his sleeping quarters was the living room with a pull-out sofa bed and the TV.  He persevered, survived Canada's winters, got a job, bought his dream car Corvette,  made many more friends in Montreal and Toronto, eventually got married, had his three children.  And now sadly leaving them and four wonderful grandchildren.  Larry had a great advocate who helped him tremendously through his health issues in his last few years.  Sincerest thanks and heartfelt gratefulness to you Ting Melocoton Mallari.   May perpetual light shine upon you, Larry.
