Alan F. Lyon

Alan F. Lyon of Scarsdale, NY peacefully passed away on September 22nd, 2013. He was born in Queens, New York to John and Therese Lyon September 21,1929. He was 84 years old. Honored as one of the best doctors in New York, he worked as a cardiologist at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY for nearly 50 years. Director of Medicine and Chief of Staff were among the many positions he held there . He was also a professor of Medicine at Downstate Medical Center and NYU Medical School. He graduated from Fordham Prep and Fordham University.

He graduated from New York University Medical School in 1954. He married Anne Cirillo in 1956. He was a captain for the United Staes Army for the Medical Army Services. He was honorably discharged in 1964.

Alan was predeceased by his wife, Anne Lyon. He is survived by his five children: Marianne Hickman and her husband Joseph, Elizabeth Milani and her husband Mark, Patricia Lyon, Matthew Lyon and his wife Joanne, Douglas Lyon and his wife Carmen, and his 12 grandchildren Joseph, Eddie, Anna, and Rachel Hickman; Jennifer, Katie, and Samantha Milani; Lauren, Sean, and Eric Lyon; and DeAnna and Douglas Lyon Jr.
