Elizabeth Ann Gallo

Elizabeth Gallo, born on May 14, 1963, passed away on September 24, 2023. Liz was born in the Bronx to Elizabeth (nee Farrell) Gallo and Dr Rudolph Gallo PHD, superintendent of schools. Liz is survived by her mother Betty Gallo (nee Farrell), her daughter Emily Simons, her Spouse Chris Simons, her brother Jack, Sister-in-law Maureen, and God children, Gillian Gallo, Ally Podesta, and Jack Harrington. The O’Farrell family from Schull and Killarney in Ireland and the Harrington family in Adare, Ireland. Liz was predeceased by Julia and Thomas Farrell of Ireland and New York.

The family moved to Scarsdale in 1967, where she attended the Edgewood, School, Liz graduated from Ursuline in New Rochelle in 1981 and in 1985 from Fordham University with her bachelor’s in science. Liz then completed her masters from Fordham and Iona in later years. Postgraduate from college Liz taught at the Orchard School in hastings. In most recent years Liz held the position of assistant director of technology in the Mount Vernon school district.

Elizabeth, a beacon of love and kindness, will always be remembered for her radiant smile and the sparks of joy she brought into the lives of many.

May her soul rest in peace and her memory continue to inspire us. We invite all those touched by Elizabeth's spirit to join us in celebrating her life and honoring her legacy.
