Lun Rao

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Lun Rao announces his peaceful passing on March 16, 2026, at the age of 46, following a courageous battle with metastatic colon cancer.

Born on April 20, 1979, to Kaimin Rao and Xiaping Li, Lun was a graduate of Boston University. He dedicated his career to the investment management industry, where he was known among his peers for his astute insights and his unwavering authenticity as a partner. Lun was a cornerstone for his teammates and a mentor to many.

Lun was a man of immense integrity, resilience, and love. He possessed a unique gift for bringing people together; his kindness and unending humor brought joy to everyone around him. To his colleagues, he provided not only guidance and inspiration but became the brother many never had.

Lun is survived by his devoted wife, Jiayi; his two children, Ethan and Vivian; and the family’s beloved bernedoodle, Mochi. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched so deeply.
