I am so shocked by the news of Ruth's passing. Her down-to-earth point of view and sharp sense of humor will be missed. Lunch at Phillipsburg Manor will not be the same without her. She is missed. She was loved.

I knew and worked with Ruth for quite a few years at Historic Hudson Valley -- she was a really wonderful person with a great outlook on the world. Plus, we could always count on Ruth for her good sense of humor and down to earth approach. I was really fond of her and it's terribly sad to hear about her passing. My heart goes out to her family in these challenging times.

It was always a pleasure to chat with Ruth during our time at Kykuit. She had a great sense of humor and always made me laugh. I am saddened and will miss her. Condolences to her family and friends.

Ruth was my first friend when I started as a volunteer for Kykuit.  She was funny and smart and dear.  I will miss her very much.

I am sorry that the notice came out so late, and that I didn't get to meet more of the people Ruth would spend many days and much of her recent decades in the company of. Good on you all.

I couldn't believe the news when I heard it.  I know that Ruth has left a big hole in the hearts of all who knew her.  I too worked with her at Kykuit.  I will certainly miss her.

I am a Kykuit Guide and also worked with Ruth for several years selling National Trust Memberships.She was a wonderful person, always warm, affable and had a great sense of humor.I was shocked to hear of her untimely passing. I think I speak for everyone at Kykuit in saying that we shall miss her grievously.  I  imagine that she has embarked on her next great adventure.

I so enjoyed seeing Ruth each Thursday & Friday when I would give tours at Kykuit. I shall miss her warm personality and great smile.

This was such a shock. Ruth and I worked side by side for a very long time.  She was extremely knowledgeable not only about Kykuit but other sites as well. We worked together so well and I will so miss her. My sympathy to her family and all who knew her.  Rest in peace, Ruth.


I am so sorry to learn of Ruth's passing. As a new Kykuit guide, I was always appreciative of her smile when I arrived at the desk, her encouragement when I uncertain, and her calm when I was frazzled. 
I will sincerely miss her.

I always enjoyed talking with Ruth on my Kykuit days. This comes a such a shock. I wish I had known in time to attend the service. She will be much missed.

I was a coworker of Ruth's at Historic Hudson Valley. She was a valued member of our team and we will miss her. Ruth was a very kind person, I always looked forward to spending time with her during her visits with me at Skin Thera p Ruth spoke  fondly of her family especially her sister. Ruth was a special person, and I will truly miss her
