I remember cousin Tommy as such a fun loving, energetic kid , always happy, with a smile on his face. There are countless memories of family get togethers , parties and events over the years . Memories going back to Pointlookout , the beach days , barbecues and annual family photos. He grew up to be such a strong , kindhearted , intelligent , successful and amazing person.  Sending all our love and prayers to family and friends  during this difficult time. I know he is now in a better place with all our angels who went before us and watching over everyone . His memory will be forever cherished and he will always be loved by so many. God bless him always . May he rest easy now.

In so many ways, Tommy and I grew up together—from meeting as kids, to running into each other on spring break senior year of high school, and later getting to be the "cool" aunt and uncle to our incredible niece and nephews. Tommy would always go out of his way to ask how you were doing, give you a hug, and make you laugh. I feel so lucky to have experienced his warmth and kindness, and that we had the chance to be family. We miss him already and will keep him in our hearts forever. We met a few years ago, on the Verrazzano Narrows Bridge- you were the Super for Defoe, and I was the TBTA Project Engineer; we clicked immediately and within an hour of meeting, we had plotting out the direction of the entire project - 3 months latter Covid hit- even amongst this difficult time, Tommy shined- If work can even be considered fun, it was during this project with Tommy.  He was smart, quick witted, and loved to share his life stories.  We were both so excited to be working together again on one of the largest projects at the VNB- He used to laugh and say- you just get me.  I will miss texting memes to him and playing darts (with lots of beer).  My heart is broken. May your soul soar to heaven.

Tommy was a truly beautiful soul. Every time he walked into the golf shop, his presence brought a sense of comfort. He was always willing to help - whether it was reaching for a box or carrying something heavy - never hesitating to lend a hand. That generosity spoke volumes about who he was. 
I can only imagine what a special son, brother, and uncle he must have been.  He left this world far too soon and it’s clear he had so much more love and kindness to give. May his memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to all who loved him.

As a former Project Manager of NYSDOT I had the pleasure of working with Tommy on several highway projects in NYC. Often Client/Contractor relationships could get contentious but never with Tommy.  He was a true gentleman to deal with in every sense of the word. My deepest condolences to his family on his untimely loss.  He will be truly missed but never forgotten by his family, friend and the industry.

Tommy was part of my world for more than thirty years, moving from a friends  little brother spying on us downstairs to an integral part of our family. His humor and heart left a mark on every one of us, particularly the younger Sheerins who saw him as a funny uncle. We are so lucky to have shared life with him. From the Hadi family, Tom’s neighbors, to the Camisa family, we send our sincere and deepest condolences. We are heartbroken. Since the day Tom moved in he was friendly and generous to us. We were so happy someone so nice moved in next door.  We were always doing projects on our home and Tom let us borrow his tools anytime we needed.  I couldn’t have asked for a nicer person to be my neighbor. We communicated mostly by text and many of our exchanges had humor and kindness. We will miss him and always remember his warmth and generosity.  May he rest in peace.

What a terrible shock to hear about Tommy. A life cut down way too soon. Sending heartfelt condolences to all the family and friends. The world is a new place for you all now.

Growing up from a young age, I always looked at Tommy as my cool older cousin.  From playing video games in your basement or introducing me to the game of golf, I will always look back at our time spent together with a smile on my face. Heaven gained a great golfer and an even better man.

I knew Tommy for more than 30 years and, even without official titles, he always made it known that he considered all of the Sheerins to be family in all the ways that mattered.  We felt exactly the same way.  He was funny, kind and cared deeply about all those around him, and he was much loved by all of his "unofficial" nieces and nephews who were lucky enough to grow up around him for these past many years.  We will miss him deeply, remember him forever, and always be grateful we knew him.  Our love and thoughts are with the entire Camisa family.

I knew him as a boy at leewood growning up with my son Thomas Chianese. Remember them playing being good friends who looked  forward to being together another day. Tommy Camisa was more than a boss to me—he was a true friend, a mentor, and a genuinely good man. He led with kindness, respect, and integrity, and he always made the people around him feel valued. I always had a respect for Tom as a professional and what he accomplished at a relatively young age.  My fondest memory however will always be the fun and the laughs we had at those too few lunches. Rest in peace my Friend.

I best remember young Tommy as a lovely happy child enjoying playing on the beach in Point Lookout, NY with his large extended family.

Tommy was an extraordinary man whom I had the privilege to know in his work for Defoe on several construction projects with TBTA.  In my role as former Chief Engineer there, I spent many times walking the job or in meetings with Tommy. He left a lasting impression as  someone who cared deeply about doing a great job, about the safety and well-being of his fellow workers and the public. He was kind, hardworking, caring and all around a super guy. Please accept my sincere condolences on this unimaginable  loss. Tommy Camisa was a man who meant so much to so many.

Tommy was deeply respected and deeply loved. He had a steady presence that made people feel safe, supported, and valued. He led with integrity, strength, and heart, and he showed up for others every single day. Whether you knew him as a leader, a mentor, a colleague, a friend, or family—he made you feel safe, valued, and backed no matter what.

Even in difficult moments, Tommy brought calm, solutions, and always a bit of humor. On a personal note, he used to tell me I was out of my mind for diving with sharks—but he also thought it was the coolest thing. That was Tommy: protective, honest, and quietly proud.

His loss is heartbreaking and unimaginable, but his legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the memories we carry forward.

He is one of the greatest men I have ever had the privilege to know and will forever remain in our hearts.

Cousin Tommy,
Childhood memories have been flashing through my mind—nothing but warmth and pure light. I will forever remember you as loving and full of life. The silly things we used to say to each other when we were little are now the very things I say to my children. Rest easy.

Tommy will be missed. Always a fun time playing golf , enjoying a cocktail or playing cards with him at Leewood. He was  genuine, friendly and all round great guy. Gone too soon!

Tommy's fate came a million miles too soon. 
He was the gin in the Campari, the Makers in a Makers and ginger, a laugh in the face of bores..in other words, he simply made everything and everyone better. He meant so much to so many people, it was amazingly brilliant. As was he.
  I'm truly lucky, along with grateful, to have been a small part of his journey.

Tommy will be dearly missed, I knew him through Leewood and we shared many laughs and good times. He always had a smile or a wisecrack every time you saw him.  My lasting memory is of one night in August last, we  pulled  our cars close to the chipping green so that we could use the car lights to have an eight man chipping contest in the dark!. I think I left around 10.30pm and the guys kept going. It was a memorable fun summer night with a beer, golf club and good friends! Gone too soon Tommy, Rest in Peace my friend.
