Dale Otto Shanaman Sr.

Dale Otto Shanaman, Sr., 88, of Richland, PA, passed away in his home on Wednesday, June 29, 2022. He was the husband of Donna Marie Layser Shanaman. He was born in Richland on June 11, 1934, one of fifteen children of the late Claude and Mollie Sellers Shanaman. Dale was a retired truck driver and served in US Air Force during the Korean War. He was a life member of Neptune Fire Co., Richland; Marion Rod and Gun Club; Richland American Legion, Post 880. Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Dale Shanaman Jr. and companion Tina Schware of Newmanstown, Kirk Shanaman of Richland, Tina wife of the late Steve Schott of Richland, Debra wife of Keith Marks of Lititz, Lisa wife of James Niethammer of Richland, Melinda wife of Kevin Sites of Newmanstown, grandchildren, Melissa Pfautz, Michelle Salmi, Jessica Clauser-Northern, Bobbi-Jo Curty, Billy Clauser, Sarah Schott, Shelby Schott, Brad Shanaman, Tyler Shanaman, Molly Davis, Jesse (JR) Davis, Kaili Sites, Kerry Sites and Cody Schware; great grandchildren, Claudia Pfautz, Ally Pfautz, Greyson Salmi, Brianna Curty, Nickolas Curty, Karina Curty, Evelyn Wennell, Hunter Shanaman, Harper Shanaman, Brant Shanaman, Brinley Shanaman, and Kellan Schware; brother, Ray husband of Perri Shanaman of Richland; sisters, Ann Kreiser of Richland, and Joy wife of Steve Garloff of Richland, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held privately. Burial and military honors will be conducted by Richland American Legion, Post 880, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. www.clauserfh.com
